It is a stripped down Windows 10 operating system based on build 1511 – 10586 (November Update or TH2). The minimum system requirements, as expected, remain the same, although this special version of Windows should run faster than the original due to the number of changes that have been made, which are listed below.
This is the second version, the version supporting 32-bit processors. I also have the first version in my profile which is 64 bit.
***IMPORTANT NOTE: WHEN YOU GO TO THE FAST FORWARD SCREEN SELECT SETTINGS THEN DISABLE EVERYTHING TO GET WINDOWS WORKING***
Required configuration
Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster processor with NX/PAE
SSE2 (if Windows 8 worked, it will work too)
RAM: 1 GB for the 64-bit version (technically only 512 MB is needed)
Hard disk space: 20 GB
Video card: DirectX 9 or later
Changes and information (at least the most important):
-Removed most Metro apps except Edge, Store and Calculator
– Removed most unnecessary drivers (such as graphics, printers, network)
They will have to be downloaded and installed manually according to the specifications of each computer
– Some accessibility elements have been removed
– Speech removed and Cortana support
– Search removed (explorer search bar still works)
– Removed Windows Media Player
– Enabled to use Windows Photo Viewer instead of Metro’s “Photos” app, although images will initially open in Paint until the user changes the default app to Windows Photo Viewer.
– sleep mode is disabled
– Paging file disabled
– The firewall is removed (although in some cases it may appear when using the program, and the service is not removed, because it is important)
– Windows Update has not been removed yet, no guarantee it will work as I always turn it off (you still need to turn it on to install apps from the store)
– Store programs should work fine
-Store games no longer work (I don’t understand why). Non-UWP games (like CS:GO) should work as you will have updated drivers
